Encaustics IV--Strata As I walk the shores by the North Atlantic sea, I notice the beauty of the history imprinted in each rock and boulder and sea shelf. It is also apparent in the Notches of New Hampshire , cut to the core to provide passage through the mountains. This new series explores the movement and layers as recorded in our natural surroundings. Each layer of strata records the unrelenting forces that shape and mark the inexorable march of evolution. With or without mankind, the forces move on.
