Encaustics III--Liminal States Liminal States is a series that is inspired by the stark beauty of Yosemite Valley and its magnificent redwoods. It celebrates nature's beauty while taking note that the redwoods, like many species of plants, animals, and other living creatures are vanishing through the unrelenting onslaught of human activity and unreflective decisions. The works were created with encaustic, oil sticks, metal leaf, and oil paint on panel.
